This Privacy Policy explains how MealCode handles information when you use the app. MealCode is designed for meal planning, food logging, recipe generation, and exercise-related summaries. It is intended for informational purposes only and does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional advice.

MealCode does not require a separate in-app account to use its core features. Some features use a compatible AI model API key and endpoint provided by you. Your use of those AI features may also be subject to the privacy terms of the third-party AI service you choose.

2. Information You Enter in the App

Depending on how you use MealCode, the app may process information you enter, including:

ingredient selections and custom ingredient entries
meal, food, and exercise-related inputs
preferences, presets, and saved records
your configured AI endpoint, model identifier, and API key

3. Data Stored on Your Device

MealCode stores app settings and user-generated content on your device. This may include saved records, ingredient schemes, AI configuration values, and locally stored chat or response logs used to support app features.

4. AI Requests and Third-Party Services

When you use AI-generated features, the content needed for that request is transmitted from your device to the AI service endpoint you configure. This can include prompts derived from your ingredients, meal records, exercise-related inputs, and configuration details needed to make the request.

MealCode supports compatible third-party AI services. Those services operate independently, and their processing of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. In-App Purchases

MealCode offers a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase to unlock certain Pro features. Purchase processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. MealCode does not receive your full payment card information.

6. Children's Privacy

MealCode is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review the situation.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If the policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
